Genre Discussion

Present at discussion: Shannen, Colette & Manny

We have been discussing particular genres that we would like to explore. These include:

• Thriller
• Horror
• Comedy
• Social Realism

We have decided that we would like to combine some of these genres to form a hybrid. This will create an original and interesting short film.

We have been inspired by short films that start off in one genre and then merge into and end in another. This creates an interesting twist and keeps the audience hooked until the very end.

A couple of good examples of films that use these methods of genre are:

• Lovefield
